Twitter as we know it may be obsolete in just a few months time as Twitter is considering a major re-design to its software and dashboard, and unfortunately (we think) its heading towards more of a Facebook and Google+ ‘look’.
We have had a strong love affair with Twitter since the very beginning and was one of the first East Midlands companies to join the platform back in 2006 and since then have seen many ‘upgrades’ to the system, all of which have been welcomed additions and provided businesses with new tools to manage their accounts.
But we cant help thinking the worst with
The change was first reported by Mashable features editor, Matt Petronzio who noticed a huge change to his own profile page, as Twitter tests its new features on some of the older profiles – You’ll see just how different the changes will be in his screenshot:
Its a massive transformation from Twitters signature ‘look’ with a greater focus on photos and moving away from the traditional ‘timeline’ which we have all come to love and know well.
The normal features look like they will still apply, like #trendingtopics, account analysis and bio information which is a relief – Unlike LinkedIn which is slowly reducing the amount of information it shows on free accounts.
