Last year, we saw a superb use of social media in action, sure it was consumer but it was beautiful.
There was once a little girl…
One day, the little girls daddy surprised her with an exciting trip to London, but unfortunately on the train journey to London, she accidently left behind her precious teddy bear, ‘Roar’…
The little girl was very upset and upon returning home without her bear, her dad took to social media Twitter and Facebook to share news about the lost bear in hopes of it being found.
Luckily another traveller found the bear in her seat and, as the lost and found office was closed, took him home for cuddles. The passenger, named Lauren took to social media that evening to try and locate the owner of the lost bear.
Lauren continued to ‘map’ her journey with the lost bear on Facebook and Twitter throughout her journey…
As if by magic… the little girls daddy saw her post on Facebook which had been shared hundreds of times in an attempt to reunite the teddy and little girl.
See – Social Media really does create happy memories!
Its not often we share ‘non business’ posts and stories on our blog, but because this one was so special, we decided that it was too nice to share and it also demonstrates, how much reach social media can have, from one little post…..
