Brighter Directions have joined other local businesses by signing up to take on an apprentice as part of the 100 in 100 campaign, which aims to get 100 local employers within 100 days to pledge support to create a placement.
The business case for taking on an apprentice is compelling. As the country moves towards economic recovery, Apprenticeships can help businesses across all sectors by offering a route to harness fresh new talent. The Coalition Government has already shown a commitment to Apprenticeships by announcing £250m of additional funding to help create an extra 75,000 opportunities nationally.
Giving young people a recognised training programme and a basis for sustainable employment, Apprenticeships ensure that the local workforce will possess the practical skills and qualifications organisations need now and in the future.
