DERBYSHIRE COMPANY WINNERS OF NATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Management and staff of local Chesterfield based Marketing company Brighter Directions joined over two-hundred of the most elite business professionals from across the UK at the prestigious award ceremony for BESMA (The British Excellence in Sales & Marketing) held at the stylish venue ‘The Lancaster London’ in Hyde Park, London on the Thursday 26th May.
This year, the ISMM (Institute of Sales & Marketing) who organise the annual event were delighted to receive a record number of entries and were impressed with the quality of the nominations. Spokesperson for them said “It is extremely positive to see so many companies celebrating their success, with over six thousand nominations sent in this year!”
Having completed the shortlisting, Brighter Directions were announced as finalists in March for two categories ‘Sales Excellence’ & ‘Customer Service team of the year’ beating off competition from some of the best organisations in the country to the top five position.
The finalists were the best entries who: worked effectively as a team, focusing on providing excellent support to customers, including listening, problem solving and strong communication skills with a strong commitment to professional and ethical selling.
For the company, to achieve this level of recognition is encouraging for other small firms; Managing Director Claire Curzon said “I’m extremely proud of our achievement so far, working within a small team of passionate and hardworking people who all work to the same ethos is not often found in larger sales and marketing organisations. Our nominations for the BESMA awards follows several years of customer service excellence accreditations, proving the strategy of Brighter Directions is dedicated to providing the right solutions and communicating with our clients clearly and consistently.”
The award ceremony in London proved that a small company can compete at a national level, up against large identities like Virgin, Dell and Reed Learning.
Brighter Directions first launched in 2006 as a sole enterprise now thrives with 11 dedicated staff working from the Chesterfield office offering strategic marketing solutions to organisations across the UK.
